The products and brands of Heutink are made at different production locations in the Netherlands, China and Sri Lanka. Each location has its own specialty. What all production sites have in common is shared commitment to attain high-grade craftsmanship, complete involvement, pursuing perfection and a high dose social responsibility. We combine sustainable, advanced technologies with human skills and attention. We adopt this approach in order to recognize that every child is unique and therefore our products must also be unique!

One of our specialisms is Montessori education, which places great emphasis on attention, involvement and perfection. These fundamental elements are not just critical to the use of the materials, but also form the basis for their creation. For over 80 years, our Nienhuis products have been produced using these distinctive and traditional methods. We invest a great deal of love into shape, color and character.

  • ..we care for the well-being and future of our workers and their families. It is for this reason that in Sri Lanka we created a program which enables our employee’s children to get a formal education. In addition, we also offer our worker’s families an extensive health care program.

  • ..our products meet the rigorous demands of various toy manufacturing safety regulations and comply with the Directive 2009/48/EC regarding toy safety, including EN71 and ASTM. They are resilient and made to endure many years of continuous and robust classroom use.

  • ..our manufacturing processes are environmentally responsible. We insist that our high quality and durable educational toys are manufactured with sustainable raw materials, such as wood from planted European forests and European water-based inks and paints.
